4-h Agriculture Program Assistant

This position primarily works out of the Association’s Hudson office, but frequently travels and reports to other locations throughout Columbia and Greene Counties based on program needs.

**Required Qualifications**
- Associate’s degree. GED/High School Diploma plus 2 years’ experience may substitute for an Associate’s degree.
- Experience relevant to the role of the position.
- Ability to help ensure diverse, equitable, and inclusive programs.
- Travel Requirements - Ability to meet frequent travel requirements associated with this position. A valid NYS driver's license with the ability to drive and driving record acceptable for Association insurance coverage are required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
- Ability to assist with various duties to support programs and program staff.
- Ability to relate effectively to co-workers, advisors, community, and professional leaders.
- Computer Skills - Ability to effectively use software including use of the internet, program related software, virtual technology (connections, Zoom, cameras, etc.), and Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel.
- Work Environment - In addition to the Working Conditions, the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. This position works in a typical office environment. In addition, the position frequently lifts, moves, or transports program materials and equipment. The position regularly shops for program materials and food. The position regularly works in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, precipitation, and in environments like fairs, outdoor community events, farms, gardens, and natural environmental settings.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 4-H agriculture experience preferred

Pay: $20.00 per hour
