**Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement the volunteer training and orientation program.
- Ensures sufficient numbers of volunteers to meet the needs of the patients and families.
- Coordinates the utilization of volunteers with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide volunteers with assignments. If the assignment is with a patient, the Volunteer Coordinator reviews the Volunteer Plan of Care with the Volunteer before they make a patient visit.
- Provides ongoing support, supervision and evaluation of volunteers.
- Provide supervision to volunteers, this includes periodic supervisory visits, volunteer performance evaluations; ensuring time sheets and visit notes are completed and submitted per policy; reviewing of volunteer visit notes to ensure the plan of care is being followed.
- Maintain volunteer personnel files.
- Attend Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI) activities.
- Maintain monthly statistics regarding the volunteer program including services of volunteers, the type of service and the time worked.
- Take an active role in providing, reviewing and revising written volunteer policies and procedures with the IDG.
- Maintain line of communication with Volunteers. (ie. Keep volunteers informed of IDG meetings, in-services and training opportunities, notification of changes in patient status affecting visits, etc.)
- Recording services of volunteers, including the type of service and the time worked.
- Outreach to various community services and groups to promote volunteer opportunities.

**Volunteer Coordinator Qualifications**:

- Volunteer Recruitment: At least 1 year
- Supervision Experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Driver's License
- Solid computer skills, including Word and Excel
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Possesses and maintains CPR certification.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
