- The Assistant Director of Learning & Development is responsible for establishing efficient ad innovative learning and development programs, thoughtfully designed to help our professionals best serve at every stage of their career. This role also provides organization-wide communication and training regarding legal requirements, best practices, and changes to employment related policies, processes, and procedures.**Essential Function**s, Duties, and Responsibilities**

**Tasks may include (based on services offered within assigned region), but not limited to the following**:

- Lead the design, development, evaluation, and delivery of new learning and capability development programs through collaboration with the HR Department.
- Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees.
- Continuously monitor and solicit feedback on all learning programs and materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness
- Supports the rollout of leadership training programs for front-line supervisors, addressing topics such as problem-solving, effective communication, and team leadership.
- Serves as administrator of LMS, while ensuring data integrity and ongoing compliance to training policies and procedures.
- Assess and leverage available technology and systems to enhance our training capabilities, including the integration of the quality system and LMS.
- Ensure all training initiatives comply with regulatory and industry requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR and learning and development to recommend innovative approaches to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage the Learning & Development team while providing development opportunities to support their professional growth and development.
- In partnership with HR Leadership and Legal accountable for developing communicating and maintaining compliant organization-wide policies, processes, and training requirements.
- Drafts, reviews and updates employment policies and handbook consistent with all applicable laws.
- Advises HR staff of new federal, state, county and city, legislation, and regulations relevant to RI's employment law practices and processes.
- Keeps updated with new HR federal, state, and city/county laws and regulations.
- Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**: Ed**ucation, Experience, and Skills**

**Required**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in human resources.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience including: creating and implementing training, policy and handbook updates, and HR compliance oversight.
- 3+ years managing others.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, policies, processes
- Experience with regulatory audits
- Experience working collaboratively with Human Resources, Legal and business partners.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop concise and on-brand messaging; inspires trusts and expertly handles issues of sensitivity.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Detailed oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
- Must have a valid driver license and be 18 years of age.
- Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 10lbs.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, with particular emphasis during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.

- Must be able to pass education verification check.
- Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
