Job Description

The Director of Faculty Performance Management oversees all aspects of faculty performance and scheduling to ensure that faculty are fully supported while meeting expectations in the classroom. They will manage a team of faculty performance professionals and liaise with functional and departmental leaders across the organization to continuously optimize the teaching experience, thereby enhancing the student experience. The Director will partner with other teams within the Faculty Institute to create resources and maximize talent to support faculty growth and performance within the classroom. The Director will leverage data to report on, and develop, KPIs that support strong outcomes in the classroom. They will ensure that strong recruitment and scheduling practices are in place and the regulatory and compliance requirements are being met. Additionally, they will develop a team that is centered on creating a strong faculty community that is connected, engaged, and excited to enhance their skills in the classroom. This position serves a critical role in the organization and will partner with leaders and departments institution wide. The Director will create scalable processes and practices that can ensure continued success and excellence within the classroom.
  • Manage, guide, and grow the faculty performance management team.
  • Assess faculty performance and identify opportunities for improvement using data and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on improving the faculty and student experience through strengthened faculty performance.
  • Ensure that an appropriate pool of faculty are available and that the exemplars are identified and scheduled proactively.
  • Develop scalable processes for all aspects of the faculty performance team by creating streamlined efficiencies, leveraging data, and identifying opportunities for data reporting and automation.
  • Ensure best practices are implemented for faculty coaching and performance enhancement.
  • Work in partnership with the Faculty Institute teams to develop resources and training opportunities to support faculty development.
  • Create a cadence for reporting faculty outcomes to academic leaders to enhance the development of their faculty pools.
  • Analyze data regularly and identify opportunities for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Work with human resources to ensure streamlined entry and exit processes for faculty as it relates to performance.
  • Continually evaluate faculty expectations and work with academic leadership to ensure that expectations support a best-in-class student experience.
  • Provide support to academic leadership on ways to further support faculty.
  • Plan and schedule faculty events and webinars as needed.
  • Grow and develop communities of practice.
  • Ensure all practices are in alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Other duties as identified.
Salary starting at $90k

Qualifications
  • Master's degree required.
  • At least three years of leadership experience in higher education, healthcare education, or faculty management and development required.
  • Experience managing large faculty pools preferred.
  • Teaching experience in higher education required.
  • Teaching experience in online higher education preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfort with data analysis and reporting.
