- Salary range: $59,116.00 - $68,930.00- The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the nation’s largest public housing authority, with an operating budget of $3.3 billion and over 11,000 employees who manage and maintain 290 developments that house over 400,000 residents. NYCHA also operates the country’s largest Section 8 program, which provides rental assistance to about 200,000 additional families.
- Position Summary:

- The Property Management Operations (PMO)-HUD Inspections Department is a small agile team within the Office of Property Management Operations that supports NYCHA by providing property management with guidance, training, and monitoring for HUD NSPIRE Inspections. The Department leads and manages projects under PHAS and Annual Apartment Inspections Pillar for the monitoring agreement and liaises with external stakeholders including HUD and Monitor.
- With wide latitude for independent judgement, initiative, and decision making, the Project Manager will support property management to increase compliance with NSPIRE standards and action plans under the pillar agreement and help improve the health and safety standards in residents’ apartments. This position requires a high level of interaction and collaboration with all NYCHA Departments, Property Management, and external stakeholders.
- Reporting to the Vice President for PMO HUD-Inspections. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and/or evaluate NSPIRE standards and action plans under the pillar agreement.
- Supports Property Management with information/guidance for NSPIRE inspections, appeals, certification of health and safety violations monitoring/tracking/reporting on all aspects of NSPIRE

inspections. Supports rollout of key NSPIRE and pillar-based action plans.- Prepare reports, perform analyses, and review program plans related to NSPIRE and pillar-based action plans for executive and external stakeholders, provides analytical findings and

recommendations.- Develop and provide on-site training sessions, workshops, and presentations to property management teams at developments across NYCHA’s public housing portfolio.
- Make recommendations for improvement on policies and procedures by monitoring trends in NSPIRE Inspection reports and pillar dashboards to improve performance.
- Provide interpretation of complex problems and collaborates with internal stakeholders to promote positive resolutions. Resolves issues and mitigates risks related to policy adoption and

management, including escalating issues/risks as appropriate.- Attend NSPIRE inspections for learning and training purposes at developments across NYCHA.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
