**SUMMARY**: This position is primarily responsible for performing accounts receivable, month-end close and other functions of the accounting department.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Ensures funds received are applied properly and accurately.
- Analyze and address discrepancies with customer.
- Prepare and deposit funds received in office.
- Process credit cards sales.
- Reconcile aging to general ledger.
- Reach out to customers for collections of accounts receivable.
- Generate invoices and statements for the customers.
- Close and balance accounts receivables and sales and prepare the reports for closing.
- Assist with month end reconciliations and adhere to month end deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of excel.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
- Experience with accounting ERP system.
**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS**:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
