Position Summary

The **Accounts Receivable Supervisor** is responsible for managing the daily operations related to the collection of overdue payments, assessing credit risks, and facilitating order releases. This position entails supervising a team of 5-7 collection agents while also engaging in direct collection and credit management for a designated portfolio of accounts.

This role emphasizes leadership through example, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring accountability among team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily collection efforts for priority accounts, track payment behaviors and delinquencies, and implement necessary measures to address issues, including liaising with collection agencies.
  • Analyze and oversee accounts alongside relevant collection reports to pinpoint factors contributing to account delinquencies.
  • Guarantee adherence to organizational credit and collection protocols.
  • Engage with the Accounts Receivable Manager and Sales teams regarding accounts that present risks or complications.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable Manager and Credit Analysts to assess and determine customer credit limits.
  • Partner with the Cash Supervisor to resolve account reconciliation and unapplied cash discrepancies.
  • Assist in managing and directing inquiries received in the Accounts Receivable inbox.
  • Support month-end closing activities.
  • May undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required, ideally in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Collections, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and develop team members.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Skills in root cause analysis, with the foresight to anticipate challenges and prepare solutions.
  • Proven experience in handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Exemplary teamwork, adaptability, and professionalism are essential.
