Administrative Assistant

**SUMMARY**:
- The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department, reporting directly to both the Assistant Director of Human Resources and the Chief Human Resources Officer.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the CHRO, Director of HR, and multiple County departments, overseeing scheduling and correspondence;
- Administer employment records requests, including inquiries regarding tuition reimbursement, Public Student Loan Forgiveness, and various lender requests;
- Assist the Organizational Development Specialist with new hire orientation;
- Maintain precise time and attendance records for HR team members, process time-off requests, submit department bi-weekly timesheets, and manage the HR office schedule;
- Assist in the initial entry of employee injury reports to the workers' compensation carrier;
- Handle procurement orders for office supplies and equipment, ensuring the maintenance of inventory levels utilizing Infor Software;
- Provide comprehensive clerical support, maintain personnel files, process personnel information changes, and contribute to special projects as necessary;
- Other duties as assigned;
- In-person position.
**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:
**Required Minimum Education, Credential and Experience**
- Education: Minimum of GED or High School Diploma;
- Experience: Three years of administrative experience; preferably in Human Resources.
**Preferred Minimum Educational and Credential**
- Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or similar;
- Experience: Three years administrative experience; preferably in Human Resources.
**Other Skills**
- Ability to drive or have reliable transportation to any of the Montgomery County facilities, job fairs or other events;
- ** Proficiency in both verbal and written communication, characterized by clarity, professionalism, and adaptability to various audiences, is essential for success in this role;**:
- The ability to remain flexible, multitask effectively, and adapt to changing organizational needs is crucial for this role;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products with an emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook;
- Experience using HRIS systems to track time and attendance, with a preference for ADP, but not mandatory.
