**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:

- As an Insurance Market Conduct Examiner 1, you will take part in the market conduct examination process in order to determine if companies are operating in compliance with Pennsylvania’s statutes and regulations. Specific duties include reviewing insurance companies’ files and electronic records, such as policy forms, claims, consumer complaints, underwriting and rating practices, marketing and sales materials, producer licensing, operations and management, policyholder services information, and more to determine overall compliance during the course of a market conduct project.

You will be responsible for identifying violations and ensuring that the examiners involved in the project secure and retain copies of documentation and evidence to support such findings. Offering recommendations for corrective actions is another key function of the position. You will also ensure that insurance producers hold appropriate and active licenses, and testify at administrative hearings to support findings of projects as necessary.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- ** Telework**:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, however you must report to the office one day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- ** Salary**:_ _**In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- Successful completion of the Insurance Market Conduct Examiner Trainee training program; **or**:

- One year of professional experience in insurance market conduct examinations, insurance company financial examinations, insurance investigations, insurance financial analysis, insurance underwriting, insurance policy review and analysis, insurance claims administration, or insurance sales, and a bachelor’s degree; **or**:

- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
