Assistant to The Dean

This mid-level position requires an experienced and enthusiastic individual who is looking for the potential to have rapid professional development in the field of Higher Education. This role will be an intricate team member in assisting with the many strategic initiatives of the college and specifically in the Office of the President and Academics.

Duties include:

- Assists the Dean in planning, organizing, designing, coordinating and implementing assessment plans for each academic program at the college
- Assists in class scheduling, accreditation reporting, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Assists the Dean of Academics logístically and administratively. as needed
- Utilizes technology to streamline and enhance communication
- Develops and maintain collegial relationships with students, faculty and administrators and the college community overall
- Works with faculty on attendance reports and classroom necessities
- Collaborates with the Dean on creating the freshman schedules across all programs
- Collaborates with the Dean on logistics of classroom utilization for each semester
- Assists faculty with attendance reports and classroom resources
- Works interdepartmentally to assist in transforming the college’s current course registration to an online platform, ensuring it is management and user friendly
- Assists in drafting and maintaining the College’s Master Academic Calendar
- Projects as delegated by the Dean of Academics or Office of the President/Provost

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Bachelors degree in related area (Masters degree preferred)
- 1-3 years of administrative support in a higher education setting
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment
- Keen attention to detail

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
