**Objective**

BEI's RSS Department Academic Assistant II role is to help with online and in-person educational programs and handle the databases. The Academic Assistant II will work closely with the RSS Academic Lead to ensure that all program requirements are met. This role requires technological proficiency.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 60 Credit Hours towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
- 1-3 years of classroom/instructional experience
- Demonstrated English Proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with managing schedules and administrative tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and systems.
- Attention to detail.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and coordinate teaching schedules.
- Approve/correct schedules and timesheets in workforce management systems.
- Provide administrative support and ensure effective communication between instructors and the Academic Team.
- Create, review, and complete academic reports for ELI and ESP classes.
- Follow up with teachers on necessary paperwork (reports, attendance sheets, etc.).
- Administer placement tests and post-tests as needed.
- When necessary, substitute ESL classes, adhering to lesson plans and instructing students.

**Additional Responsibilities**
- As needed, provide assistance to teachers and students by answering questions and providing technical assistance.
- Other duties as assigned by Academic Department leadership.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
