Job Summary:

The Academic Advisor II will serve as the first point of contact for students, providing academic advice and direction on degree planning, program requirements, course selection, and enrollment. You will work closely with students to ensure a smooth transition to their academic and professional careers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized academic advising to students on degree requirements and course selection
  • Assist students in creating their educational plans and advising them on course prerequisites, co-requisites, and recommended course sequences
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing support as needed
  • Develop and implement workshops, information sessions, and recruitment events to support student success
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a comprehensive support system for students
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
