**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and manage programs that provide life skills, social support, mentoring, and social-emotional well-being to at-risk youth throughout the city of Newark.
- Engage in one-on-one sessions with participants, providing a supportive environment to explore goals, aspirations, and challenges.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with Newark Board of Education and community-based organizations to enhance and extend program access.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate training and workshops on life skills, social support, mentoring, and financial literacy for program participants.
- Prepare regular reports on program activities and outcomes for Program Coordinator
- Participate in training and workshops offered to staff to increase awareness on community violence and solutions.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, human services, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in social services and at-risk youth programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.

**Physical Demands**

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, see at close distances, and use hands to handle or feel documentation and office equipment. Must be able to read information from printed sources and computer screens.
