**What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be**
**Programming**:
- Programming, primarily in Python and R
- Implementing new functionality in existing software packages
- Testing new software that is developed
- Debugging problems and implementing solutions
- Refactoring code to improve efficiency and modularity
**Data Analysis**:
- Utilizing software tools to analyze datasets
- Training, validation and testing of models when applicable
- Simulating datasets and evaluating performance of different analysis methods
- Preparing figures to summarize results
**Presenting**:
- Presenting results and current progress in lab meetings
- Contributing to writing of scientific papers
**What we Require**
- No professional experience is required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: Software development in Python or R
- Other skills required: Familiarity with machine learning and genomics
