Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting laboratory testing, handling hazardous materials, documenting and interpreting data, maintaining laboratory standards, and preparing reports.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory testing: Evaluate samples, including physical properties, wet chemistry, and analytical testing.
- Handle hazardous materials: Safely perform laboratory evaluations with high hydrogen sulfide gas concentrations and mercaptans.
- Document and interpret data: Record test results and provide data analysis for stakeholders.
- Maintain laboratory standards: Write and follow standard operating procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Prepare reports: Deliver written reports and presentations to stakeholders.
- Associate degree in Science, Engineering, or related disciplines or 5+ years' experience in an industry laboratory.
- Laboratory experience and a strong knowledge of lab and equipment safety are required.
- Strong computer skills and a quick learner of instrument operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders, including handling challenging situations in a customer-oriented mindset.
- Experience in the oil and gas petrochemical subsector is a plus.
- Experience with analytical instruments.
