To thrive, you should have:
- Associate degree in Science, Engineering, or related disciplines or 5+ years’ experience in an industry laboratory
- Laboratory experience and a strong knowledge of lab and equipment safety are required.
- Strong computer skills and a quick learner of instrument operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders, including handling challenging situations in a customer-oriented mindset.
- Experience in the oil and gas petrochemical subsector is a plus
- Experience with analytical instruments
Your role:
As the Laboratory Technician, you will perform evaluations in the laboratory, including physical properties, analytical methods, wet chemistry, and product performance. In addition, you will be providing research and technical support, including sample preparation, formulation blending, and/or troubleshooting for our teams and customers. You will be expected to perform the following successfully:
- Conduct laboratory testing: Evaluate samples, including physical properties, wet chemistry, and analytical testing.
- Handle hazardous materials: Safely perform laboratory evaluations with high hydrogen sulfide gas concentrations and mercaptans.
- Document and interpret data: Record test results and provide data analysis for stakeholders.
- Maintain laboratory standards: Write and follow standard operating procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Prepare reports: Deliver written reports and presentations to stakeholders.
