Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco focused on the development of cell-based therapies for neurological diseases.
- Surgical Device Liaisons will befield-based members of the Clinical Science and Applications Team and will serve as primary representatives of Neurona within operating rooms during surgery. People in this position will participate in investigator and clinical staff training, as well as provide surgical device and cell product technical
- support during patient enrollment.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Support and provide requested guidance to Clinical Investigators, operating room, and clinical staff through in-person Operating Room attendance during surgeries.
- Provide real-time connection to medical experts to resolve questions.
- Collect and internally communicate technical surgical information and feedback from clinical investigators.
- Work with clinical and scientific information in a timely and compliant manner.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of appropriate cell preparation processes and clinical trial protocols.
- Work with clinical and technical teams to develop surgical training materials; provide remote and on-site support and training of surgical staff.
- Establish, foster, cultivate, and maintain relationships with KOLs and clinical site staff.
- Travel up to approximately 75%; overnight or weekend travel will be expected. Non-traditional work hours during cases are anticipated.
**Education And Skills Requirements**:
- Advanced Clinical/Science Degree (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MSN, RN, NP, PA etc.) or
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years related work experience (surgical and/or clinical setting or industry experience)
- Proficiency in GCP (Good Clinical Practice), experience in creating and delivering scientific presentations, basic experience in medical writing
- Computer skills necessary to generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets, etc.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal communications
- Able to interact professionally and effectively with physicians, nurses and other clinical staff
- Able to work independently from a remote environment
- Outstanding organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple, often complex and sometimes competing, objectives to effective and efficient conclusion
- A learning mindset, open to becoming an expert across multiple therapeutic areas
- Preferred skills include work with cells or medical devices, exposure to working in a healthcare setting or Surgical Device Support/MSL experience.
- Adaptable / Flexible - willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities as well as an ability to meet day-to-day challenges with confidence and professionalism.
- Self-motivated with a sound work ethic, initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to acquire new technical skills.
