Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Medical Device Technician II to join our team at Sutter Health. This role is responsible for the care, maintenance, and functioning of equipment and supplies used by the Department. The successful candidate will assist Anesthesiologists in providing direct patient care and provide support to the nursing staff through the provision, maintenance, and functioning of medical equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Care, maintenance, and functioning of equipment and supplies used by the Department
  • Assist Anesthesiologists in providing direct patient care
  • Provide support to the nursing staff through the provision, maintenance, and functioning of medical equipment
  • Knowledge of principles and applications of aseptic technique
  • Knowledge of care and maintenance of Anesthesia-related equipment and surgical equipment
  • Knowledge of English language with written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and problem-solve
  • Interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to effectively demonstrate inventory control
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • Minimum two years college
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • 1 year of basic experience as typically acquired in a similar environment
Working Conditions

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.

Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
