Job Summary: The Activities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing all activities and assuring that an ongoing recreation/activities program is designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental and psychological well-being of all residents.

**Your basic responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and implementing programs that promote resident self-esteem, maximizes participation, and encompasses cultural, social, spiritual, educational/intellectual, and physical activities.
- Assessing residents’ individual needs in planning and implementing the recreation programs.
- Working with the Case Manager to plan programs to meet the cognitive abilities and psychosocial needs of resident groups.
- Providing resident, staff and family education.
- Directly performing recreation programs leading residents with individual, small, and large sized group activities.
- Coordinating and scheduling activities and entertainment for residents.
- Maintaining various records and reports reflecting the budget of the recreation department.
- Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Transporting residents to and from activities in a safe manner.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION**:

- A current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license.
- Two (2) years’ experience in social or recreational programs within the last five (5) years.
- Prior experience in a recreation organization and basic medical knowledge
- Associate’s degree _**required**_
- Bachelor’s degree _**preferred.**_

**WORK SCHEDULE**: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p with evening and weekend availability for occasional events.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.65 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
