**Hospital Scheduler Job Description**

Consents for procedures including in office loop implants

Schedule procedures in priority order.

Check to see if an authorization from the patient’s insurance company is required. If an insurance authorization is required, the process with be initiated.

All documents should be printed and faxed to Scheduling Department, including, but not limited to, Consents, H&P, last cardiac testing, EKG’s, any previous procedures. Once confirmation has been received, all information with confirmation is scanned into EHR.

Schedule follow up to procedure for patient with the appropriate provider.

A message is to be sent via EHR to Physician and his/her communicator including who is doing procedure, and date/ time of procedure.

Provide patient/caregiver with date and time of procedure.

Answer any questions patient/caregiver may have to the best of your ability.

**New Patient Coordinator**

Receive all calls and referrals for New patients

Register patient

Request and enter all records in EHR

Schedule patient appropriately

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
