Ensemble Health Partners is a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems. We're seeking a highly motivated Patient Access Specialist to join our team in Lewes, DE.

About the Role

As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for performing admission duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital. You will work closely with our team to ensure accurate and efficient patient registration, medical necessity checks, and insurance verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Provide excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls
  • Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in interactions with patients and families
  • Pre-register patient accounts before patient visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and other patient information
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients/guarantors/legal guardians and obtain necessary signatures
  • Review eligibility responses in the insurance verification system and select the applicable insurance plan code
  • Responsible for accurately screening medical necessity using the Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) software
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • CRCR Certification (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) Required within 6 months of hire
