The Philanthropic Relations Officer (PRO) plays a pivotal role in cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors to ensure sustained support for the organization's mission and programs. Responsibilities include executing donor engagement initiatives (events and collateral) and fostering meaningful connections with donors. This position requires a blend of relationship-building skills, strategic thinking and project management. The PRO serves as a key liaison between the organization and its supporters, ensuring that donors feel connected to the ACLU's national and local work.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITES**:

- PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT & PIPELINE BUILDING (40%):_** **Carries a portfolio of donors with focus on increasing giving level through meaningful and strategic cultivation, upgrade solicitation and stewardship activities.
- Utilize research, strategic engagement and relationship building efforts to upgrade giving and qualify a portfolio of ~50 mid-level ($5k
- $10k) supporters for the major gifts portfolio.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate database records for assigned donors, recording all interactions including detailed meeting reports.***
- PHILANTHROPIC ENGAGEMENT OF MAJOR DONORS (35%): _Collaborate with philanthropy team, communications department and issue teams to create engagement touchpoints for donors as directed by Chief Philanthropy Officer and Senior Philanthropy Officer.
- Provide logístical management of events for donors throughout the year, as directed by the frontline fundraising team. This includes venue, catering, décor, invitations, publication, volunteers, AV needs, speaker arrangements, and any other component for a successful event.
- Project manage the production of donor engagement collateral, including one-pagers, case for support and more.
- ANNUAL FUND MANAGEMENT (15%):_
- Manage the Annual Fund mail appeal program via segmentation of lists and appeal production.
- Design and implement process for regularly thanking donors following donations.
- OTHER (10%): _
- Lead the team’s customer service response to donors and members.
- Serve on an organizational Issue Team as a liaison for the full philanthropy team.
- Adhere to the philanthropy team’s data entry best practices by timely and accurately entering information into the donor database.
- Take part in designing the process for incorporating community-centric fundraising values into fundraising communications and educational opportunities.
- Participate in National ACLU Development Resources offerings including weekly meetings, and opportunities to engage with development colleagues nationwide.
