The Development Associate position will support the Project Development Team with a broad range of pre-construction development activities related to ENGIE’s portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects across the United States and Canada.
- The Development Associate will work closely with land and greenfield teams, interconnection experts, as well as pre-construction, engineering and project delivery departments, and other aspects of wind, solar and storage project development to actively drive utility scale development activities from feasibility to construction.
- Manage all aspects of environmental site assessment, permitting, transmission/interconnection, land acquisition, and design activities in close collaboration with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the functional groups
- Engage consultants, review their findings, and ensure implementation of project goals
- Develop project model underwriting assumptions in alignment with investment criteria and off-take origination efforts. Support energy offtake, financing, and project Merger and Acquisition (M&A) discussions and document preparation. Prepare investment presentation materials for ENGIE investment committees and review project pro forma financial models to understand how returns are impacted
- Engage with landowners and stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events
- Maintain database tracking project progress
- Remain abreast of tax incentives, renewable energy opportunities in the United States and the national industry trends impacting the future of renewable development opportunities and their competitiveness as they relate to customers

**What You Will Bring**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental, Business Administration or Economics
- Minimum two (2) years related experience, in renewable energy development or other fields of project development with the ability to navigate permitting processes and community involvement
- Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks
- Results oriented professional with the ability to work well with geographic, cross functional internal teams, public officials/agencies, and land owners, in a fast paced environment who is a self starter, with excellent collaboration skills, capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with public officials, agencies, and land owners
- The ability to present to a wide range of audiences, including landowners, potential off takers, government officials, and corporate leaders

**Additional Details**
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Must be available to travel domestically up to 30% of the time

**Compensation**

**Salary Range**: $74,500 - $114,195 USD annually

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
