About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Vice President, Development to join our team at the American Heart Association. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal staff, corporations, and community leaders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies
  • Lead and manage a team of fundraisers and support staff to achieve revenue goals and objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-level leaders, including C-suite executives and volunteer leaders
  • Develop and execute plans to secure major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation support
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fundraising and development
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in non-profit fundraising or a related field
  • 3+ years of managerial experience, preferably in a sales or fundraising team
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising and development
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
