Fire Alarm Superintendent

**About the Role**:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Superintendent to join our team. In this role, you will be embedded on a large campus and responsible for responding to scheduled and (on very rare occasion) emergency service requests, performing in-depth troubleshooting, repair, and/or replacement of fire alarm system equipment, testing fire alarm systems.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Respond to scheduled and (on rare occasion) emergency service requests on the campus, performing in-depth troubleshooting, repair, and/or replacement of fire alarm system equipment.
- Ability to program fire alarm systems or experience with programming fire alarm systems on site.
- Frequently resolve problems through research of multiple alternatives.
- Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and the customer.
- Assist customer on-site with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Effectively communicate project status to management.
- Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.
- Knowledge of testing fire alarm systems and keeping track of testing frequencies that facility has established. Including review of test reports.
- Industry-related NICET and/or CA State Certification is preferred or obtained within one year of hire.
- Experience with the following manufacturers: Edwards/EST, Kidde systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of fire alarm fiber network.
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be reliable and responsive.
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
- Must have excellent communication skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Fire Alarm/Low Voltage industry.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Able to lift up to 75lbs.
- Carrying of a ladder can be expected.
