As the Fire Test Repairs Technician, you will fix any issues found during the inspection and testing of fire life safety systems at our clients site. Your expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems will give building occupants peace of mind knowing they're protected.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Conduct thorough tests on fire alarm systems according to national standards (NFPA) and local codes.
  • Diagnose malfunctions within fire alarm systems, pinpointing the root cause of any issues.
  • Effectively repair or replace faulty fire alarm components to restore optimal system performance.
  • Program fire alarm systems using appropriate software to ensure proper operation.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations of service procedures and findings.
  • Maintain accurate service records, documenting all tests, repairs, and system performance.

You must have:

  • 2+ years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing fire alarm systems.
  • Understanding of fire alarm system components, operation, and relevant codes (NFPA standards preferred).
  • Ability to diagnose complex problems within fire alarm systems.
  • Effectively identify solutions to repair or replace faulty equipment.
  • Meticulous in performing testing procedures, repairs, and documentation.
  • Valid California Driver's License and proof of auto insurance (may be required).
  • Must be able to get required vaccinations/immunizations. 

We also conduct pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Federal Contractor regulations and background checks in accordance with State and local regulations.

Work Environment:

  • Be prepared for diverse work locations, including construction sites, commercial buildings, high-rise/mid-rise buildings, and medical facilities (with potential patient contact).
  • The role may require occasional work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and in confined spaces.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • This role involves physical activity such as driving for extended periods, walking, bending, stooping, lifting equipment (occasionally up to 20 lbs), and prolonged standing or sitting.
