Our San Francisco based client has broad-based experience in providing construction management and oversight for public works and heavy construction projects. They are looking for Communication Engineers for a 3 year project with the Los Angeles Metro Systems.

Role #1 - Specializing in Fire Alarms with general knowledge of Rail Communication systems.

Role #2 - Specializing in Cable Transmission System (fiber backbone installation, inspection & testing) with general knowledge of Rail Communication systems.

Start Date: 1st week of September

On-site and some field work, Knowledge in Rail Systems is preferred

Typical Activities:

Design and support services in support of Metro for modifications and upgrades to existing Communication Systems, including but not limited to:

• Fiber optic (SONET) and Ethernet communications backbone
• Telephone systems
• CCTV
• Public Address (audible and visual systems, TPIS, ETEL/PTEL)
• Fire Detection, Fire Suppression & alarm
• Intrusion detection and Access Control
• Seismic detection
• Radio Network (including microwave backhaul)
• SCADA
• Data networks
• Cyber Security, Firewall & Network Design
• Gas Monitoring

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 years’ consecutive experience in Communication System design and/or maintenance is required.
