**Meet your Manager**

In this role, you will be managed by Emily Thomas**.** A fundraiser for over fifteen years, Emily has worked at global NGOs with a focus on the environment and international development. Prior to joining ClientEarth in 2018, Emily was part of the development team at London's Natural History Museum where she worked on the Hintze Hall transformation capital campaign. As Associate Director, Philanthropy and Events at ClientEarth, Emily manages the global philanthropy and event programme with teams in the UK, US and across Europe.

Main Duties
- **Portfolio management and fundraising (60%) - **Manage a current portfolio of 50 individual major donors and qualify a minimum of 15 new major donor prospects per year, with an active portfolio total of 80-100 by year three;
- **Management and Team Collaboration (30%) - **Manage and support the professional development of the Development Coordinator (based in LA office)
- **Strategy and Planning: working with global and US teams (10%) - **In close collaboration with senior global development colleagues, lead the development and execution of the US major gifts strategy that is aligned with the established Global Philanthropy plan, and set and meet appropriate targets for U.S. fundraising that supports the global development income targets

Role requirements
- Significant experience of direct and successful development with a proven track record of soliciting and closing five and six figure-, and multi-year gifts;
- Goal-oriented and metrics-driven leader with excellent knowledge of best-practice major donor pipeline management and financial processes;
- Demonstrated success as a supportive and strategic manager focused on helping direct reports succeed and grow in their areas of departmental
- Persuasive communicator with excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones and in a dual reporting structure/matrix management style
