**Compliance Officer**

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that all our services and operations adhere to the standards set forth by DDA COMAR regulations and state laws. The incumbent will play an active role in ensuring that the program is complaint through billing, investigations and completing plans of corrections. The Compliance Officer will review all program documentation to monitor accuracy and timely submission to meet DDA and Agency needs. These responsibilities cover all areas of teamwork to ensure and promote quality of life for the individuals we support and the staff assigned to the programs.

Essential

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs monthly on-site audits at each licensed site to evaluate compliance with agency processes and Code of Maryland Regulation (COMAR) requirements and accreditation standards by performing reviews that include, but are not limited to, personnel files, policies and procedures, incident logs, medical documentation, emergency preparedness, training logs.
- Monitor the quality of the services provided to individuals through ongoing program /office visits
- Complete the QA quarterly checklist
- Complete comprehensive documentation and file reviews
- Participate in the strategic planning process and policy development
- Develop goals and objectives for Quality Enhancement Plans annually
- Complete program reviews of all programs to ensure compliance with applicable state/federal regulations and contract/ guidelines are met
- Provide a thorough report of findings from each review within a specified time period
- Ensure plans of correction are developed and submitted, paying attention to DDA deadlines.
- Provide training to staff both in formal and informal training moments as needed
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with co-workers, teams, and state personnel
- Conduct and Review incident reports and submit to DDA per PORII, agency and regulatory standards within 24 hours
- Submits LTSS billing on a weekly basis based on staff data
- Review staff documentation to ensure it aligns with goals
- Support with state audits and reviews
- Acts as chairperson of the standing committee

**Position Requirements**

- Ensure plans of correction are developed and implemented in response to findings.
- Provide training to staff for quality improvements and program implementation.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of fundamental rights and self-determination and assure that the individuals in the house are afforded these rights
- Must Demonstrate understanding of Incident investigation, and Plan of Correction development
- Must be able to interact in a professional manner with staff, parents, employers and other professionals
- Must be qualified to train staff
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills
- Must pass drug test and criminal background check
- Flexible working hours to include some evenings and weekends.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
