The **HR Manager** will manage the routine functions of Human Resources (HR) including talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, benefits and compensation, communication and enforcement of company policies and practices while ensuring legal compliance for a small collection of companies (approx. 50 +/- employees in total).

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy.
- Designs and implements recruiting and retention strategies
- Onboards new talent and conducts effective exit interviews with departing team members.
- Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Supports learning and development programs and initiatives.
- Event coordination and execution in support of employee relations initiatives and community involvement goals.
- Supports and ensures adequate documentation of employee performance discussions in conjunction with leadership and management.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Creates and monitors a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

**Education and Experience**:

- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field a plus.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities and perform on-site visits to support employees.
