**JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY**

Under the general direction of the Director of Emergency Services, provides professional and proven emergency management skills to support and implement the Agua Caliente Emergency Services Program.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- High School Education, 2 years in a related field.
- Must have a valid CA driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills. With 2 years of experience using MS Office programs.
- Previously trained in NIMSS (IS-700,800,100,200)
- Possess the certifications to be accredited as a Cal OES Emergency Management Specialist. This requirement is desired prior to employment but can be obtained within 2 years from the date of hire.
- Ability to organize and prioritize, meet deadlines, work with mínimal supervision and multiple interruptions, exercise judgment, and adapt instructions/directions from one assignment to another. Possesses the ability to multi-task.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Make decisions and take action based on direction, previous experience, and good judgment within guidelines.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain all Emergency Services records and files.
- Draft and update all documents related to Prevention, Preparedness, Response, Recovery & Mitigation.
- Participate in temporary duty assignment to the Safety & Tribal Regional Analysis Center, 2-4 days a month.
- Participate in temporary duty assignment to a Tribal, City or County EOC in support of an active incidnet.
- Schedule and set up training classes related to emergency management.
- Update and inspect all emergency services inventories as scheduled.
- Must comply with all applicable internal controls, standard operating procedures and Tribal Regulations. Documents and reports all exceptions/variations/deviations immediately upon awareness
- Report to work after hours/weekends/holidays in the event of an emergency or catastrophic event that threatens to impact or does impact the Agua Caliente Reservation.
- Functions within the Emergency Operations Center or specified location during emergency and non-emergency incidents including but not limited to major emergencies, disasters, training exercises and special events.
- Coordinates special projects/programs as necessary to implement the Emergency Management Program.

**WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS**

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.

Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and have sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
