CV Resources is seeking a skilled Payroll Supervisor for a multinational Construction firm based in Portland The Payroll Supervisor will oversee full-cycle, multi-state, and international payroll operations in a confidential in-house environment. This is a full-time onsite position.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist the payroll team in executing biweekly payroll for domestic and international employees.
- Stay updated on regulatory wage laws and industry practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Lead and streamline compensation and payroll tasks, including regular and bonus processing, state unemployment reporting, life insurance premiums, worker’s compensation reconciliation, and internal equity compensation plans.
- Manage federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance, system setup, and reconciliation.
- Maintain employee profiles in payroll and HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Manage payroll-related termination processes, adhering to final paycheck laws.
- Coordinate with external tax experts for US and international tax compliance.
- Provide responsive and professional service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Payroll Manager and team to implement best practices and drive continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of non-union full-cycle payroll experience required.
- Leadership experience within a payroll team required.
- Experience with JDE and/or ADP Preferred
- Experience in full-cycle, in-house payroll processing preferred, including new hire setup, payroll processing, tax assessments, benefit calculations, separation processing, and year-end closeouts.
