Position Title: Culinary Operations Supervisor
Overview: The primary role of the Culinary Operations Supervisor is to manage all kitchen activities under the direction of the Head Chef and Sous Chefs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supervising, mentoring, and training kitchen staff during shifts
- Ensuring compliance with portion control standards
- Maintaining open lines of communication with upper management
- Upholding and enforcing company policies and procedures
- Guaranteeing timely food service
- Monitoring food quality and presentation
- Organizing and maintaining service and work areas for optimal efficiency and safety
- Managing labor resources effectively
- Overseeing daily operational tasks
- Performing cleaning and sanitation duties
- Conducting staff training and supervision
- Handling administrative tasks as assigned by management (e.g., scheduling, payroll)
- Addressing personnel and customer service challenges as they arise
- Managing and distributing tip allocations
The Culinary Operations Supervisor is expected to perform the duties of all non-management kitchen roles (such as prep cook, line cook, and dishwasher). This position requires the ability to resolve and troubleshoot issues that may occur during shifts. The role involves significant physical demands and requires mental agility, as well as the capacity to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Supervisor must be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. All employees are expected to conduct their responsibilities safely and report any safety concerns to management. Additionally, all staff members should stay informed about company events, history, and product offerings. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the Manager on Duty.
