Role description:As part of the executive leadership team for Ardagh Glass Packaging – North America (AGP-NA), the Chief Operations Officer is responsible for developing and executing the overall operations plan and strategy for the business. This position participates in company-wide governance decisions along with CEO, CFO, CCO, and various senior leadership from SG&A functions. The COO holds overall responsibility for the profitability and continuous improvement of the manufacturing facilities and supporting operational functions.­­Responsibilities:Develop the overall strategy for workplace safety, environmental compliance, operational excellence, people development, quality, customer service, cost control, project investment execution, and process improvement for our manufacturing facilitiesDevelop the long-range plan (LRP) and annual budgetsDeliver production volume required to satisfy customer demandEnsure critical defects and cost of poor quality are held to a minimumEnsure capital investment projects are on time and within budgetManage, coach, mentor, and train support for direct reportsMinimum skills / qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or a related field Fifteen (15) years of manufacturing operations leadership experience Great communicator with effective organizational and planning skillsAbility to motivate and influence toward successExcellent sense of trust and integrityAbility to make urgent decisions and have discipline in the executionStrategic mindset and adaptability to changes and challengesProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to travel up to 75%Preferred skills / qualifications: Master’s degree in engineering, business administration or a related fieldPrior experience in glass manufacturingPrior experience in the packaging industryLean Six Sigma certificationDepth of expertise in sustainability, strengthened through appropriate training and qualificationsProficient knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft applicationsCan work independently and with teams when neededAbout Ardagh Group
