Client Information- A nonprofit community center founded in 1984.

Position Summary- The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is tasked with overseeing the center’s financial operations, ensuring its financial health and long-term sustainability. This role includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and compliance. The CFO will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to craft and execute financial strategies that align with and advance the center’s mission and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and executive financial strategies that align with and promote the center’s mission and objectives.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • ·Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and other financial systems.

  • Prepare and deliver financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, offering analysis and recommendations as necessary

  • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory obligations, including tax filings, audits and other reporting requirements.

  • Lead and manage the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with program managers and other stakeholders to create realistic and attainable budgets.

  • Track actual performance against the budget, providing regular updates and analysis to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

  • Develop and maintain financial forecasting models that support long-term financial planning and information decision-making.

  • ·Manage relationships with external auditors and financial service providers to guarantee compliance with all reporting and regulatory standards.

  • ·Represent the center internal and external events and meetings, providing financial guidance and support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's Degree or CPA preferred).

  • · 7-10 years of experience in financial management, including 3-5 years in a senior leadership position within a non-profit organization.

  • · Deep understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, grant management, and compliance requirements.

  • · Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting and analysis.

  • · Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • · Starting salary $90,000 to $100,000. Competitive benefits and incentives.
