This calling resonates deeply for our caregivers and our colleagues working behind the scenes, who all bring high-quality, compassionate care to the patients we are privileged to serve.Key Responsibilities:•Processes and prepare pathology and cytology specimens, as defined by CLIA, for pathologist and cytotechnologist interpretation. •Perform routine and special staining procedures, IHC and ISH, Mohs and routine frozen sections as required in the diagnosis, treatment and management of pathologic conditions on patients of all ages. •Problem solving skills, participation in Quality Assurance, Quality Control monitoring, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting are required.
Education Qualifications: $5,000 Sign-on Bonus (external candidates)

Graduate of NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program
OR
Successful completion of 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of academic credit from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), AND one year full time acceptable experience in a histopathology (clinical, veterinary, industry or research) laboratory in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory within the last 5 years
OR
An associate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), AND 1 year full time acceptable experience in a histopathology (clinical, veterinary, industry or research) laboratory in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory within the last 5 years.

Job Location: Building B - St Marys Medical Center

Shift Rotation: Day/Eve Rotation (United States of America)

Shift Start/End: Day/Evening Rotation/Day/Evening Rotation

Hours Per Pay Period: 80

Compensation Range: $29.23 - $42.98 / hour

Union: USWA Technical Workers SMMC (UTECH)

FTE: 1

Weekends: Occasional
