A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HELP DESK TECHNICIAN 2/1, YOU WILL:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to computer users - Tier 2/1 Support

  • Provide IT support to resolve and document problems, using appropriate ticketing systems. Escalates problems to the appropriate organization or process, when required

  • Provide follow-up actions with customers to ensure resolution of incidents or requests

  • Provide support responsibilities which includes T2/1 assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, applications, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems

  • Troubleshoot computer problems, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves computer system problems

  • Provide professional and responsive customer service to users

AS A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE, YOU ARE:

  • Customer service oriented with exceptional organizational skills

  • A skilled communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both written and verbal

  • A resolute problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced high energy environment

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • An Associates degree or equivalent; AND

  • 1 or more years of related experience

  • Basic knowledge of PC/networking environments including: installation, testing, diagnostics, repair, and troubleshooting

  • An ability to obtain and maintain a public trust

  • Louisiana Residency, living within a ~60-mile radius of our Bossier City facility

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $25.29 - $42.24. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
