Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Help Desk Technician to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about technology and eager to start a career in IT support. The IT Help Desk Technician will be the first point of contact for end-users experiencing technical issues and will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving basic hardware and software problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as one of the points of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
Assist with user account management, including password resets and access control.
Document and track all support requests in the help desk ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with end-users.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary.
Provide guidance and support for software installations and updates.
Assist in maintaining IT documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures. Along with maintaining IT inventory.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the IT department.
Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field is a plus.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
Customer service-oriented with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Eagerness to learn and grow within the IT field.
Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and common software applications.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with help desk ticketing systems.
Experience with remote desktop support tools.

Physical Demands
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
