Through testing, and analyses identifies and reports defects to direct supervisors and engineers. Contribute with Quality improvements. May train other inspectors or specialistsRoles & Responsibilities
Embrace and apply the CORE Quality Blocks (Structured Problem Solving, Process Control Systems, Reliable Quality).
Establishes control limits and control charts to ensure quality control standards are not violated. Understands Statistical Process Control and effectively uses and interprets SPC outputs to assure adherence to quality control standards
Identify Identifies improvement opportunities and determines best course of action
May be assigned to focus Focuses on specific elements, such as auditing, documentation control, and metrology, when necessary
Interfaces with customers, suppliers and employees from all levels of the organization • May conduct Conducts visual inspection and measurement tests and communicating communicates required adjustments to appropriate personnel as needed
May approve Approves finished products as needed by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, confirming re-work. Uses judgment and discretion to determine workability of part. Certifying product for shipment to customer.

Interacts with engineering departments, sales department, and occasionally with customers (as needed) to solve problems
Prepares, or presents for approval, various statistical analyses to justify recommendations for changes in methods, tooling, tolerances or inspection, and testing procedures.
Identifies, defines, and recommends issues for quality control. • Interprets technical data in mathematical or diagrammatical form.
Investigates causes of faulty work, excessive scrap, rework or inspection delays and takes proper corrective action. • May perform Performs complex functions as needed such as (i.e. calculating difficult angles or radii) using complex measuring equipment such as a CMM, Ziess, Smartscope or RAM
May be required to write Writes CMM machine programs as needed for the CMM machines. •
Assembles cost control and statistical data. • • Acts as a "Go To" person when assisting with procedures, equipment, or technical information as needed
Expert in the utilization and interpretation of Statistical Process Control or other computer software to accurately gather and maintain specified records of technical data.
Performs computations and plots data in the creation of graphs and charts for the production floor; summarizes data in technical reports presenting to leadership as needed. •

May Uses the calibration recall system to record assigned equipment's equipment calibration history and status •
Understands and meets or exceeds quality standards; seeks to minimize error rate. •
Assists and/or performs in any and all areas as assigned.
May Work any and all shifts/days as require

ShiftSwing Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm EST
EducationHigh School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience or associate degree with 2 years of experience
Experience.5 years of applicable quality process and product inspection experience
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Exhibits strong interpersonal and organizational skills with great attention to detail Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrates proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and possesses intermediate math skills
Exhibits strong problem solving, judgement and decision-making skills
Works effectively with a diverse group of people from different cultures and backgrounds
Fully Proficient at Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Has attained qualified status on the use of multiple precision inspection equipment tools in assigned area under limited supervisor, such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, federal gauge, Styre, Talyrond 73, FPI, video scopes, and lighting equipment
Performs detail oriented tasks using basic language and fully proficient math skills.
