We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This role will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the manufacturing sector, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify leads: Conduct market research to identify potential customers in key industries and qualify leads through cold calls, emails, and networking events.
  • Develop and maintain relationships: Build strong relationships with new prospects and existing clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and how our manufacturing solutions can meet them.
  • Promote company products/services: Present and demonstrate our products, services, and capabilities to potential clients, highlighting key benefits and competitive advantages.
  • Drive revenue growth: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by successfully generating new business and expanding opportunities with existing customers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams: Work closely with engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure client needs are met and projects are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Manage sales pipeline: Track and report all sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts in the company’s CRM system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Attend industry events: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to build networks and generate business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and potential market shifts, and share insights with the team to adjust sales strategies as needed.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop customized proposals, quotations, and contracts that address the specific needs of the client.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the manufacturing process and industry-specific challenges.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in B2B sales or business development.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and materials.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiations and sales proposals.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
