Expert Software Architect (Java) – NYS DOH HBITS-07-14440 Voyatek is seeking an Expert Software Architect (Java) to support the NYS Department of Health (DOH) in delivering outcome‑driven technology solutions. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in enhancing and maintaining vital records applications and ensuring continued success for public sector partners. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain the SPDS application. Convert existing EDRS/SFRDS project HBITS positions to maintenance HBITS positions. Implement minor enhancements identified through Lean reviews. Migrate application databases to Oracle 12c. Migrate application software to Java 8 and WebLogic 12. Migrate legacy data from Sybase databases. Qualifications 84+ months of professional experience, including guidance to large teams or outstanding performance in the field. 84 months of experience in Object‑Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) with Java. 48 months of experience in Oracle PL/SQL and package development. 36 months using the Spring framework. 24 months using the Struts framework. 24 months working with JavaScript frameworks. 12 months building responsive web applications. 12 months developing Java web services (REST and SOAP).
