Business Developer – Landscape Maintenance


Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, G&G Landscape is a leading commercial and residential landscape service company that serves a wide range of customers throughout the Charlotte Area. The company provides a suite of services including landscape design and installation, hardscape, irrigation, residential and commercial property maintenance, and other specialty services.

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Developer to join our landscape maintenance division. This role is crucial in expanding our client base, driving revenue growth, and developing long-term relationships with both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development or sales, with a focus on B2B services, ideally in landscaping, facility management, or related industries. As the Business Developer, you have the opportunity to sell within multiple market segments including HOA’s (homeowner’s associations), commercial offices, industrial & business office parks, retail facilities, and apartment complexes.

Key Business Developer Responsibilities:

  • Identify strategic clients and market segments for the services we provide.
  • Identify the key decision makers and contacts within each strategic client and market segment.
  • Understand G&G’s services, market differentiators, and market positioning.
  • Prepare and present proposals and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Meet activity goals within each market segment and strategic client identified. Activity goals include repetitively contacting prospective buyers in person, over the phone, email, and through LinkedIn.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company and network with potential clients.
  • Understand the prospective customer’s needs and pains and work with the maintenance team to create, customize, and present proposals and quotations to customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Establish ongoing relationships with key client contacts.
  • Establish ongoing relationships with partner referral sources.
  • Attend daily sales huddle meetings and weekly sales team meetings.
  • Enter key sales data in the company’s customer relationship management system.
  • Identify when current contracts will expire and work diligently to renew them before an RFP release.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally in the landscaping, property management, or facility services industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client meetings.
  • Strong understanding of the landscape maintenance industry preferred.
