Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is looking for a dedicated and experienced school-based Behavior Support Specialist to join our team and provide services to a local school district. If you have a knack for understanding and improving student behavior in educational settings, we want to hear from you 

Your Role: 

As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will: 

  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). 

  • Implement and monitor BIPs in a school setting. 

  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student behavior needs. 

  • Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and track progress. 

  • Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management techniques. 

  • Participate in meetings and provide input on student progress and strategies. 

Qualifications: 

  • At least one year of experience working with children or adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or mental health disorders in a school-based setting. 

  • Preferred experience in applied behavior analysis and crisis intervention training. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with others. 

  • Completion of criminal background check, child abuse clearance, and FBI clearance. 

  • Professional Liability Insurance with required limits. 

  • Certifications in CPR/First Aid.
