An international manufacturer of automotive interior components is seeking a motivated HR Specialist to join their facility in the Memphis, TN area. The ideal candidate is capable of speaking English and Spanish at a professional level and will have at least 5 years of experience with conflict resolution and internal investigations, and is familiar with FMLA Law, Employee Relations, and matters of Reasonable Accommodation. This is a direct-hire, on-site position, and offers a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, and 401(k) matching.

HR Specialist Responsibilities:

Adherence to company compliance policies, guidelines, and procedures
Take leadership on conducting workplace investigations into matters of discipline/grievances and provide recommendations on prescriptive actions
Participate in regular Gemba walks to assess workplace performance, productivity levels, and opportunities for improvement
Lead conflict resolution efforts, including mediation in workplace disputes, corrective actions, etc.
General Human Resources duties including training, coaching, terminations, exit interviews, etc.
Aid in the negotiations of service contracts
Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits
Maintain and update employee records in company databases and reporting when required
Assist with new hire orientation for full-time employees and provide orientations
Supervise workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reporting requirements

Assist in planning and coordination of social activities
Utilize HRIS system to track and update all associate information as needed
Other duties as needed



HR Specialist Qualifications:

Business-level English/Spanish bilingual speaking ability is preferred
Minimum four years’ experience with Human Resources duties, focused on conflict resolution, workplace investigations, employee relations
Four-year Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other relevant field, or combination of two-year degree with comparable work experience
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in a multicultural work environment
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and adapt well to pressure
HR Certifications in PHR or SPHR preferred
Positive attitude with a strong attention to detail
This position is in a manufacturing/office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
