JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client, a leading health IT company, services all 50 states, partnering with 45 state Medicaid agencies and five federal agencies. They enhance payment and service delivery to millions of medical and social services providers, hospitals, pharmacies, and nursing homes. Their systems process over 1.4 billion claims annually and disburse over $26 billion in payments annually.

They are seeking a Medicaid IT Project Manager responsible for working with client and vendor teams as they implement and operate their Medicaid enterprise systems (MES). This position is planned to be a hybrid role, servicing their Medicaid client in Springfield. You will bring a mix of demonstrated project management capabilities, exceptional organizational and self-management qualities, strong leadership capabilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience with organizational change management is a plus.

You will be working across multiple modules with a focus on areas such as Claims, and Provider Management with potential exposure to other MES modules as identified. As part of their consulting team focused on state Medicaid agency clients, as IT Project Manager you will leverage your problem-solving abilities, along with project management, and systems knowledge to help Medicaid agencies improve the health and lives of individuals.

This position can be remote-based and you will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week at Springfield, IL location. The IT Project Manager will report to and partner with senior management in our Medicaid team both for client work and career development. The IT Project Manager will bring a mix of demonstrated project management capabilities, strong relationship management skills, and deep systems implementation experience. With a growth mindset, you will drive your development with the support of a learning and development culture.

You will: Lead and support the design, development, and implementation of Medicaid systems on time, within scope, and within budget, including assigning and managing staff and creating work products.
Provide expert guidance ensuring the program, policy, and business needs of the State are correctly captured in the State's requirements and design.
Communicate project and delivery status to our clients, team members, and other stakeholders, including the facilitation of client meetings.
Provide oversight, facilitation, tracking, and management of MES module implementations.
Provide systems expertise with a strong understanding of the vendor marketplace and systems implementations.
Build relationships with project team members including client contacts, stakeholders, and vendor contacts.
Utilize knowledge and experience to lead and project manage client projects, particularly Medicaid systems projects. This includes helping develop client deliverables such as complex analysis reports, ongoing status reports, data and technical strategy plans, and presentations.
