Carrier Enterprise has an opportunity for an experienced senior leader who is looking to be a crucial member of the leadership team for a large heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Distribution Company. The Regional Vice President of Sales will be responsible for leading high-performing sales teams serving contractor customers in the following sales segments - residential, new construction, multi-family, and strategic accounts. The Vice President of Sales is responsible for driving sales growth with new and existing customers and developing and implementing effective sales strategies, setting sales goals and ensuring those goals are achieved.

The Vice President of Sales is a key member of the region's senior executive team, reporting to the President. The position's primary purpose is to partner with the President to achieve financial goals and objectives and improve sales and operating performance. Responsibilities include building customer relationships, setting goals, monitoring work, and evaluating results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and sales and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and mission of the organization. Managing the financial performance of the company is essential to the success of this candidate, as is managing the performance of our employees.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the President and leadership team to establish the strategy, goals, and actions necessary to achieve aggressive growth targets for the business.
  • Establish strong relationships with the customers by being visible and responsive though frequent in-person interaction.
  • Establish clear sales metrics and benchmarks for growth, measuring progress and maintaining focus.
  • Provide leadership to the sales organization in a manner that ensures exceptional service to all stakeholders and that produces market differentiation and competitive advantage.
  • Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share within existing accounts and markets, while expanding into new selected industry segments.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans and manage to monthly, quarterly and annual expense and revenue budgets.
  • Seek continuous improvement in staff capabilities and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Work closely with all other departments to leverage the total capabilities of the company in creating a winning go-to-market strategy and flawless execution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the human capital industry, the competitive landscape and industry trends; Identify and hire top talent and employ best practices.
  • Use our world-class business intelligence system to track and measure performance, as well as identify opportunities to grow sales and margins.
  • Drive the adoption of our ecommerce sales strategy.
  • Maintain a high level of ethics and integrity in everything you do.
