Our client is a company that specializes in the production of data-driven, performance-oriented video ads for social media platforms and are hiring their first Vice President of Growth. By combining creative video production with a rigorous, data-centric approach to help brands achieve their marketing goals more effectively. Founded in 2016 and based in Los Angeles, our client focuses on creating high-volume, iterative, and scalable video content to help brands maximize their advertising performance. The company leverages a scientific approach to video production, testing multiple variations of ads to determine which perform best based on real-time data and analytics.
About this role
This VP of Growth role offers the opportunity to lead a cutting-edge growth team, drive innovation in paid social advertising, and significantly impact the success of major performance advertisers. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset to propel our growth initiatives forward.
Role responsibilities
• Team Leadership and Development: Restructure and grow the Growth team, comprising paid media and growth specialists. Implement structured rhythms to ensure team excellence and continuous improvement.
• Thought Leadership and Consultancy: Position the team as thought leaders and consultants in paid social, measurement, analytics, and CRO for our clients - the largest and most sophisticated performance advertisers on Meta.
• Media Optimization: Identify and capitalize on media opportunities to scale winning creatives and improve performance through strategic media interventions.
• Budget Optimization: Provide daily budget recommendations to clients that maximize scale and ROI.
• Service Expansion: Develop operations to offer paid media management and growth consulting services
• Technology Integration: Act as a counterpart to the tech team and partners in developing proprietary technology for media buying, measurement, planning, and analytics.
• Industry Leadership: Ensure the team remains at the cutting edge of the rapidly evolving paid social landscape, serving as an expert resource for clients' VPs and CMOs in paid social acquisition, media, measurement, and analytics.
• Performance Reporting: Provide insightful reports to clients, highlighting performance metrics and opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture client relationships at both executive and operational levels, consulting on growth and media best practices.
Candidate Requirements
• 5+ years working in performance marketing and managing relevant teams.
• Proven track record in a senior growth or performance marketing role, preferably at a top-tier performance marketing agency, ad tech company, or in-house at a major D2C brand.
• Extensive experience in paid social advertising, particularly on Meta platforms.
• Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing marketing teams.
• Strong background in marketing analytics, CRO, paid acquisition and marketing technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in structured organization building, particularly in establishing or restructuring marketing departments.
• Top tier management consulting background or top tier MBA
• Technical background, e.g. degree in engineering, math, physics or sciences
• Deep expertise in marketing technology and adtech ecosystems.
• Track record of thought leadership in the digital marketing space (speaking engagements, publications, etc.)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.

Innovation and Adaptability: Capacity to stay ahead of industry trends and adapt strategies quickly in the evolving digital marketing landscape.
Client Management: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to gain trust as an expert and advise C-level executives on growth strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with technology teams, creative strategy and customer success teams to develop and implement cutting-edge marketing solutions and deliver best in class creative and media services.
Operational Excellence: Skills in developing and implementing processes and systems that drive efficiency and scalability.
