Purpose of Role: A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Sales & Technical Installation Manager to be a driving force in building and strengthening client relationships and identifying new opportunities and developing growth for the organization. In the initial period, the role will have a stronger focus on sales to existing construction and mining customers, in its traditional products, (and support a separate business development growth strategy for the Waste Management sector, implemented over time). Headquartered in Houston, Texas, this position will predominantly focus on sales and sales management activities and oversee technical installation projects and activities. Frequent travel across the United States from Houston, TX will be an essential element of the role that will enhance business operations and continue to build our reputation and market share. Specializing in technical sales of products distributed by SmartTech USA in the heavy mobile equipment and fixed plant equipment in the civil, construction, transport and mining sectors across the United States. The position comes with an attractive salary package and commission structure along with a premium health benefits package and insurance cover. Role Responsibilities Summary: Building a solid pipeline of sales orders across multiple states and driving growth and sales revenue. Engaging with a wide range of key accounts in industries from construction, mining, agriculture, and resource management. Working with the SUI Executive team, and Australian counterparts, to build, develop and grow sales into the US waste management market. Presenting tailored solutions to clients, and quotations. Overseeing technical installation projects and activities. Maintaining accurate records in the company’s database and CRM system. Promote a positive business culture that prioritizes health & safety, and rewards innovation, dedication and team work. Detailed List of Role Responsibilities: Deliver sales and service revenue for defined territory for SmartTech USA portfolio. The below dot points are intended as a general overview of the positions responsibilities but should not be taken as a definitive list. Technical sales of all products distributed by SUI. Collaborating with scheduler to ensure efficient and effective management of all projects. Management of all territory specific customers’/OEM’s Projects arising from sales and installation activities with equivalent people across USA in SUI’s licensed market states. Promotion of the company’s consulting capabilities and self education in those aspects of our business. Participate in the development of sales strategies. Maintain & increase market exposure along with the client base. Maintain & manage the CRM in coordination with the Office Manager and President. Review the management of each account with relevant team members to ensure professional and efficient delivery of customer service is maintained. Overall management of onsite client relationships for assigned technical installation projects and, as required, quality review of projects completed by SUI Field Service. Technician(s) and subcontractors engaged to perform technical installations on behalf of SUI. Ensure quoting & pricing reflects market conditions & that margins are maintained. Complete other duties asked of you by your manager & within your competencies. Develop team members (if required) & assist in improving their performance & knowledge of products & industries we serve. Adhere to turnaround standards for quoting and client communications. While the majority of time in this role will require focus on sales and sales management activities, the role will also be responsible for oversight of technical installation activities performed by this role and a team of Field Service Technicians. The role has direct reports (being a team of Field Service Technicians), and leadership skills, training, mentoring and performance management will form part of the role responsibilities. SUI’s OH&S policy is always to be adhered to including but not limited to: Safe work performance at all times. Reporting of all incidents & near misses as per the Safety Management System (SMS). Induction & training courses to be completed. Work with team members to ensure a safe work area via HSE consultation & communication processes (Toolbox meetings, HSE Committee Meetings). Assist with Risk Assessments, Hazard Identification and development of HSE Controls.
