What will you do?

The Marketing Coordinator position is a multi-faceted role within the Sales & Marketing department. This position requires the individual to be an independent thinker who will effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously by using prioritization and time management skills. The Marketing Coordinator supports teams in an organized and productive manner, acting as the liaison for the Sales & Marketing department, by coordinating efforts and communicating with internal partners, vendors, and customers. Analytical and creative skills support product and corporate development, which will result in increased sales performance and brand penetration in new and existing markets. The growing organization requires a detail-oriented, result-driven, creative, and versatile team player in this supportive role on the Sales and Marketing team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in creative projects including brand development/management, product packaging, photo and video shoots, copywriting, and content creation.
  • Contribute to retail packaging projects from creative concept to final print proof; maintain packaging database and communicate with vendors.
  • Coordinate and oversee community involvement and PR efforts to reflect Westlake Dimex as a caring, involved corporate citizen.
  • Coordinate branded stationary, literature, apparel, etc. for company-wide use.
  • Be the voice of Westlake Dimex and retail brands; create and manage social media profiles according to brand identity, respond to online reviews and questions.
  • Coordinate tradeshow and retailer sample packaging.
  • Maintain product information and assets in a central database to assist in item creation and maintenance, assuring accurate information and brand positioning.
  • Conduct market research to aide in product and market development efforts, and contribute to the creation of compelling, optimized content and graphics.
  • Work with partners to maintain the corporate website, proofreading, copywriting, and making updates as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales or marketing environment (which can include college internships).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, preferably with copy-writing experience
  • Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience working with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
