Position Overview
Our team is currently looking for a Projects Pressure Equipment (PEI) Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry for one of our clients.
Refers to developing, directing, problem solving, and applying technical, scientific, and mathematical knowledge and methods to design, implement, and achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products, processes, or events in the mechanical static engineering discipline.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties
Design activities concentrate on routine topics (guided by procedures or multiple precedents).
Works as an autonomous Discipline Engineer, translates the guidelines and standards into practice and solves common technical challenges. Works within company standards and policies under defined directions while receiving occasional guidance on techniques.
May hold Technical Authority TA3 if required by role
Integrates discipline activities to achieve delivery through a defined process.
Performs tasks within design, operation, or maintenance of facilities/plant, interfacing with stakeholders and managing contractors
Manages the relations with multiple (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on tactical level. The scale and severity of consequences if things go wrong are limited, involving some stakeholder management.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)
Project Pressure equipment engineer
Mechanical Engineer experienced in Oil and Gas site support in running plant support or project support focused on fixed equipment
Must have knowledge of and be skilled in the following:
Basic requirements for design
Materials and corrosion
Fabrication, construction, & Installation support
Technical Integrity Assessment and Assurance
Field Engineering/Construction/CSU
Manage design activities of project or plant change
Develop, design, specify, and review pressure vessels
Develop, design, specify, & review heat exchangers and other process equipment
Piping systems design
Valve design and specification/data
Design, specify, and review plot plans and equipment and piping arrangement
Statis equipment engineering standards (internal & external)
Material of construction
Welding systems and specifications
